Whoa, myspace is a scary world.... I'm only in on the facebook craze, but tonight for some strange reason I clicked over to myspace and WHOA. It seems like to be on myspace you have to have a picture of yourself in either your underwear or nothing at all. Facebook seems like the kindergarden playground compared to myspace. I think I'll stick to facebook.

I get these emails from the medical supply people, and today this just cracked me up. You have to read the description of the product, particularly the very last line about who to give this frame to.

Yesterday was my LJ 5 year anniversary...and I forgot to update. I can't believe I've been checking this thing almost daily for five years, but it has really helped me keep in touch with a lot of people that I probably would not have stayed close with. Thanks LJ.
I'll try to update more guys. My life is pretty boring b/c I just go to school and study, but I will attempt to post something.

HEALTH QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. _____ Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. _____ Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up! _____ Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? > A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is >one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, >etc. > > _____ > Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in aregular exercise program? > A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good! > > _____ > Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? > A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!!. Foods are fried these days in >vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could >getting more vegetables be bad for you? > > _____ > Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft >around the middle? > A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. >You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach. > > _____ > Q: Is chocolate bad for me? > A: Are you crazy? HELLO ...... Cocoa beans! Another >vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around! > > _____ > Q: Is swimming good for your figure? > A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me. > > _____ > Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? > A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! > > _____ > Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you mayhave had about food and diets. > And remember: "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with >the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well >preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the >other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and >screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

You people need to post more. I'm trying to procrastinate my studying for anatomy by reading journals, and absolutely no one has updated today. Geez!
My studying is going pretty well. I feel fairly calm and confident about it. I'm getting ready to take a practice exam.

Robot You are 71% Rational, 0% Extroverted, 28% Brutal, and 42% Arrogant. |
You are the Robot! You are characterized by your rationality. In fact, this is really ALL you are characterized by. Like a cold, heartless machine, you are so logical and unemotional that you scarcely seem human. For instance, you are very humble and don't bother thinking of your own interests, you are very gentle and lack emotion, and you are also very introverted and introspective. You may have noticed that these traits are just as applicable to your laptop as they are to a human being. In short, your personality defect is that you don't really HAVE a personality. You are one of those annoying, super-logical people that never gets upset or flustered. Unless, of course, you short circuit.
To put it less negatively:
1. You are more RATIONAL than intuitive.
2. You are more INTROVERTED than extroverted.
3. You are more GENTLE than brutal.
4. You are more HUMBLE than arrogant.
Compatibility:
Your exact opposite is the Class Clown.
Other personalities you would probably get along with are the Hand-Raiser, the Emo Kid, and the Haughty Intellectual.
*
*
If you scored near fifty percent for a certain trait (42%-58%), you could very well go either way. For example, someone with 42% Extroversion is slightly leaning towards being an introvert, but is close enough to being an extrovert to be classified that way as well. Below is a list of the other personality types so that you can determine which other possible categories you may fill if you scored near fifty percent for certain traits.
The other personality types:
The Emo Kid: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Starving Artist: Intuitive, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Bitch-Slap: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Brute: Intuitive, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Hippie: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Televangelist: Intuitive, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Schoolyard Bully: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Class Clown: Intuitive, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Robot: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Haughty Intellectual: Rational, Introverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Spiteful Loner: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Sociopath: Rational, Introverted, Brutal, Arrogant.
The Hand-Raiser: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Humble.
The Braggart: Rational, Extroverted, Gentle, Arrogant.
The Capitalist Pig: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Humble.
The Smartass: Rational, Extroverted, Brutal, Arrogant. |
|
My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
|
You scored higher than 55% on Rationality |
|
You scored higher than 0% on Extroversion |
|
You scored higher than 25% on Brutality |
|
You scored higher than 43% on Arrogance |

Are you all following the space shuttle story? As someone who has always been facinated by outerspace, I'm keeping up with it. Apollo 13 is my favorite movie, and I've always told my mother that I would go into space if ever given the opportunity. Now, I look at the Columbia tragedy as just that a tragedy, but I also say that those people died doing what they had dreamed of doing their entire lives, and they got to see Earth from space which is something not many people get to do, so even though their lives were lost, I feel as though they died with the satisfaction of accomplishing their dreams.
Anyway, back to the current story. It really blows my mind and baffles me that we were able to fly in space 30 and 40 years ago with less problems than we encounter now, minus the Apollo 13 flight. It's hard for me to grasp that even with all of the technological advances of today that we cannot seem to fix the problems that plague the space shuttles, yet, we never had this problem on earlier missions. Maybe it was luck that it had never happened before, maybe pieces did fall from the old missions and we just didn't have cameras with enough capability to view the damage, or maybe God just had his protective hand on those missions. The fact that our technology isn't helping us now is just surprising.

Krista, do you know Dan Smith? Well, he went to KCC (on a full scholarship to play tetherball, hehe), and now he's at ESTU and he made this video. It's so funny.

You are "Walking in a Winter Wonderland". You are very romantic and love to have a good time with yourself and your friends. Winter is so fun, despite the cold, and love to build snowmen and pelt snowballs at your buddies. Snow angels surround you and you run in for a dose of hot chocolate. You rock! ^_^

I can not express to you my excitement for possibly living and going to dental school in Richmond next year. I'm not in yet, but my interview last week went well, and I'm excited to live so close to Sheena and my cousin. Also, my visit to MCV was just awesome. All of the students and faculty were so nice. It's really like a family there. The first day they can send anything out about acceptances is Dec. 1, so hopefully I know before Christmas if I will be in Richmond. Next year is going to be great!
